I'll Take the Letters F and U

Hey Pat, when it comes to playing Hangman, I would NEVER question your credibility. Nobody knows the cutthroat strategy of that game better than you. But when it comes to questioning the legitimacy of scientists, how about you tone down the wild-eyed rhetoric there a bit you suave romancer you.

See, I'm not a global warming alarmist. I don't think we need to stop everything right now or else the world will end. But I also don't believe the world science community, otherwise known as the experts, is secretly meeting to mastermind some global hoax designed to cripple our economies and ensure their own lifelong employment. If they wanted to do that they could just run for Congress or work on Wall Street.

But I do think that when the experts in anything come together to present facts to the world, the world should listen, carefully consider the evidence, seek more information, and make smart, reasoned decisions that are in best interest for everyone.  Summarily dismissing experts and facts is how we brought back the measles and whooping cough, how we justified and defended the Iraq war, and how we get things like FOX News, fundamental extremists, and Sarah Palin.
