The New Symbol of Terror

In September 2012 Islamic Militants attacked the US embassy in Benghazi, Libya, killing two US foreign service officers.

In June 2014 Tea Party Militants shouted "This is a revolution", ambushed two police officers eating lunch at a Las Vegas restaurant, shot and killed them at point-blank range, draped them in the "Don't Tread On Me" flag, then fled to a nearby a Wal-Mart and killed a third person.

Now guess which story gets 100 times more attention on FOX News? Apparently at FOX, killing the good guys is only a bad thing when the militants are Muslim and you can use the act of terror against the liberals in the next election.

But seriously, if two Muslims shouted "Death to America. Praise Allah", ambushed two police officers eating lunch at a Las Vegas restaurant, shot and killed them at point-blank range, draped them in an Al Queda flag, then fled to a nearby a Wal-Mart and killed a third person, does anyone really think FOX wouldn't be covering this non-stop for weeks and months on end? After 9/11, the largest terror attack in American history was the Oklahoma City bombing, carried out by two guys who would be card carrying members of what we now call the Tea Party.

At what point do we look at the Republican party and insist that they stop the tacit acceptance and, in many cases, the cultivation of domestic terrorists?

And at what point do moderate conservatives finally stand up and say "I don't want to be lumped in with these anti-American nut jobs anymore"?
